New Years Resolution Failure

Every year people set new years resolutions around Christmas / New Years time.
By March, it's all but forgotten for most people. Well perhaps not. They may have a painful new monthly reminder which comes in the form of a bank deduction for that gym membership they don't use.
Why do New Years Resolutions generally fail?
In 2006, through work with my clients in my Professional Organizer business, I discovered the cause of failure, which has led to a new solution.
On the Top New Years Resolutions page I gave this fact:
"Getting Organized Is One Of The Top Resolutions Every Year" - PR Web Press Release – Jan '05
Yes we all recognize that nothing much is possible without things being organized enough to do them.
So millions of people set getting organized as a New Years Resolution.
It's logical. But it fails.
